Saturday April 14th, 2018 from 9am – 4pm - an all day workshop with Sam Allberry (bio below) on the issue of Sexuality and Scripture at West Highland Baptist Church 1605 Garth St. If you have not seen this clip where Sam addresses the Anglican Synod – Watch it here. Cost will be $40 per person which includes lunch. This day is open for anyone from your congregation to attend.

Wednesday May 23rd 2018 from 9am – 4pm – a pastors workshop day with Stephen Um (bio below) at Grace Toronto Church 383 Jarvis St. Cost will be $40 which includes lunch and coffee breaks. This day is open for all pastoral and ministry staff to attend as well as core leaders from your church and students preparing for ministry. Stephen brings a refreshing and invigorating approach to urban ministry.

Sam Allberry is a pastor and writer based in Maidenhead, UK and a global speaker for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He is an editor and a writer and speaker for The Gospel Coalition and the author of a number of books on Christian belief, including Why Bother With Church?, James For You, and the bestselling Is God Anti-Gay? Sam studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford. He worked at St Ebbe’s Church in Oxford where he oversaw the ministry to university students and then at St Mary’s Church in Maidenhead where he has been based since 2008. He is an ordained minister in the Church of England and was recently elected to serve on its governing body, the General Synod. Sam speaks widely on issues of sexuality and identity and continues to minister as a Bible teacher and pastor. He is currently working on projects concerning singleness and the Christian understanding of the body. In his spare time Sam enjoys hiking, American history, and slowly perfecting his recipe for Thai green curry.
Stephen Um (Ph.D., University of St. Andrews) is the senior minister of Citylife Presbyterian Church in Boston, MA. He serves as a Council member with The Gospel Coalition, and is Associate Training Director for Redeemer City to City. For the past 25 years, Stephen and his wife, have been involved in several Presbyterian Churches throughout the Northeastern part of the country. He is the author of The Kingdom of God, Why Cities Matter (Crossway, 2013), the commentary on 1 Corinthians from the Preaching the Word series (2015), and the forthcoming commentary Micah for You (Good Book Company).
