Dr. Don Carson is co-founder and president of the Gospel Coalition. Dr. Carson is an active guest lecturer in academic and church settings around the world. He has taught at Northwest Baptist Theological Seminary in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he served for two years as academic dean, Northwest Baptist Theological College, Richmond College, and Central Baptist Seminary in Toronto. Dr. Carson is currently research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical School in Deerfield, Illinois. A prolific writer, Dr. Carson has written or edited more than fifty books and is the editor of three series: New Studies in Biblical Theology (IVP), Pillar New Testament Commentary (Eerdmans), and Studies in Biblical Greek (Peter Lang). Dr. Carson has served as assistant pastor and pastor and has done itinerant ministry in Canada and the United Kingdom. He and his wife, Joy, reside in Libertyville, Illinois. They have two children. In his spare time, Don enjoys reading, hiking, and woodworking.
